December 10th: December Reading List

Hey guys, hope you’re having a marvelous day!

Today is a low-key post about my December reading list. This is a mixture of some random books as well as books that go with the festive theme.

Excuse my blurry photos!

I have to read at least a couple of Christmas books because it’s Christmas!! So, as it is December I’ll start with the more festive stories.

  1. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

This is a book that I’ve been wanting to read for a few years now. Every year I’ll tell myself once December’s here I’ll start it but then before I know December has finished. It’s a book that I only want to read during December as it’s such a classic Christmas tale.

       2. The Polar Express (Trip to the North Pole)A Junior Novel by Ellen Weiss

The original author of this story is Chris Van Allsburg but as I’m reading this with my brother and sister and as this is a junior novel thought it would be great. It’s just such a fun read for Christmas.

3. The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter

Now onto something different. If you saw my book haul (I think last month…) I mentioned this series and I’m now on the last book. I’m hoping to finish it by the end of the month. It would be great finishing a series before the new year starts.

If you haven’t seen my Book Haul #1 post, this series is a twist on the Greek Gods and mythology. A YA fiction with a mixture of mystery and romance.

4. Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell

I mention this book in my birthday post which was uploaded on the 8th. I love these books as I feel like I can pick them up and put them down whenever and so easy to re-read. This would be something that I would bring on the bus or train or anywhere to be honest. You can’t go wrong.

6. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Now I’ve heard about this book quite a lot. Actually, I bought it a while ago, put it on my shelf and no joke a few weeks letter it started to blow up and was on everyone’s must read list. It gave me like Me Before You vibes, like the main character (Emily Oliphant) reminded me a bit of Louisa Clarke. When I read Jojo Meyes (author of Me Before You) review I thought ‘right I’m buying it’. I have such high hopes for this story and so looking forward to read it. It feels like a nice end of year read.

My advent present today is a new face mask called the Volcano Mask. Tried this before and it’s really nice on the skin.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Pretty sure I get through most of these but you never know with December it can be quite hectic! But I’m determined. Have any of you read these books and if so, what did you guys think? See you guys tomorrow šŸ™‚

Until next time…

Xx
