Top 5 (Tuesday)…Current Books on my TBR

Hi everyone! How are you?

Today’s Top 5 is all about books on my current TBR. My TBR never ends and I always have one on the go. It’s always nice to keep a track on what I need to read. It can be stressful at times but I guess it’s a good stress as I’m just excited to start the next book. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah over on her blog Bionic Bookworm. Check out her Top 5 post as well as all about the upcoming topics!

My current TBR is not set in stone as I have another readathon coming up very soon (I’ll be doing a post all about it next) and still working out my TBR for it. So this will be mixture on what I’m currently reading and what I hope to read this month.

Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco

This is one of my current reads. I have just started it and only on chapter 3. It’s set on an luxurious ship on the way to America. Escaping from Houdini is set in 1889, a murder mystery that Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell need to solve before the killer leaves another body. The backdrop of the crime revolves around the Moonlight Carnival with it’s magical but violent acts.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K Rowling

Another of my current reads but I’m listening to the audio-book. I’ve mentioned this a few times. I’m pretty sure I don’t need to tell you about this book. Classic Harry Potter.

Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett

Now this is one of my reads that I would love to read this month. Hopefully I can fit it in one of my prompts. I’ve been wanting to read one of Jenn Bennett’s books for a while now.

The gist of Starry Eyes is best-friends now turned enemies (I think due to family being business rivals?), Zorie and Lennon, end up in a camping trip together with a group and both end up getting lost and now trying to survive a night in the wilderness together.

The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh

This is another read I’ve been excited about and I finally have my hands on a copy! Definitely want to get to this in November. I know there have mixed reviews but I feel like if I just have fun with this read and an open mind it will be good.

Pretty much what sold me was vampires in New Orleans in the 1800s.

Death Note: Black Edition Vol.2 by Tsugumi Ohba

Last month I flew through the first volume in the Black Edition and really want to read this. The Death Note surprised me in how much I enjoyed it. The whole story plot is so interesting and complex as well as dark and I’m intrigued on how this story will continue.

I would love to read and finish these books this month. Oh keep an eye out for my upcoming post on my next readathon I’ll be participating in. Hint: it’s all about the tournament in the Goblet of Fire! So excited!

What’s on your current TBR?

Until next time…

xx
