Okay everyone my reading plans for December revolve all around all the fun readathons going on this month. This year I’ve been getting really into readathons and absolutely loving them. For December I am focusing on THREE readathons. This will be interesting to say the least. My plan is just to find books that can fit for prompts throughout all of the readathons. It’s going to be all over the plan, probs a stressed, but at the same time having fun because it’s the holiday season! Now, let me do a brief explanation of the readathons I will be participating in.
This holly jolly readathon is hosted by Chelsea, Heather, Kristin, Trina and Amy. I saw Chelseadolling reads video announcement and I knew I wanted to be apart of it as I didn’t do it last year. It will start on the 2nd of December to the 8th, so this is a nice one to start your reading month off. There are 5 challenges as well as reading the group book and this readathon is all for doubling up on books and even said that if you can manage to find one book to match all the prompts then awesome!
1. Read a book w/ snow on the cover
2. Read a holiday themed book
3. Read a book you received as a gift
4. Read a book while enjoying your favorite holiday treat
5. Read a book that has a title related to music
*BONUS: buddy read 10 BLIND DATES by Ashley Elston
This popped up on Paulina’s blog, The Bookaholic Dreamer, and thought this would be a fun one to participate in. She’s co-hosting along with Brittany at Brittany’s Book Nook and Gina at Randomly Bookish Gina.
As you can probably tell from the title this readathon is dedicated to helping you get through all your current reads. They can be books you are currently reading or books you picked up and left unfinished. Pretty much tidying up your current reads! This readathon will be happening throughout the whole of December! I have provided links to all hosts and on Paulina’s blog you’ll be able to see the December Bingo Board created for all reading prompts as well as bookish tasks you can do as well. I’ll probably be focusing more on the reading challenges but it’s a good option for some fun activities.
This one I definitely need to do as my current reads is just piling up and it’s just getting a bit hectic so I really need to get through these. It would be amazing if I can get them done before the New Year and don’t have to take them with me.
Triwizard Tournament Readathon
As I mentioned early November, I am participating in this readathon. It started on the 11th of November and continues until the 15th of December. For the December month the week will be on the 9th – 15th. So I’m already halfway through this one and can see if I can match up my TBR for this readathon to any of the other two and use those books to knock out some of the prompts.
I’ll link my blog post for this readathon right HERE.
My reading for December will be interesting and hopefully I can do it…or at least try my best haha! If I am able to find books that can cover challenges for at least one prompt in each readathon that will be handy. Also, as they all have different reading periods it will be nice and won’t feel on top of each other.
Tis-the-season-a-thon: 2nd – 8th of December
Currentathon: whole month of December
Triwizard: 9th-15th December (also one of the weeks finished on the 1st but I just excluded that)
Are you participating in any readathons this month? Thanks for reading!
Until next time…
