In February there were quite a few trips to the library. I started to pick up more books instead of graphic novels as well as audiobooks but I won’t mention them in here. Even though it’s halfway through March I still thought it’d be worth to upload this. Better late than never 🙂
A few of these books I’ve ended up re-borrowing to extend the time as I still need to get to them. Those that I ended up re-borrowing I will add a RB.
Clueless: Senior Year by Amber Benson, Sarah Kuhn, Siobhan Keenan and Shan Murphy
I love watching Clueless so when I saw there’s a graphic novel I immeditaely grabbed it to borrow. It follows Cher, Dionne and Tai’s last year in high school which is set after the movie. Sadly, it wasn’t something I ended up loving. It was great to try out and my favourite part was the illustrations. I’m happy to have borrowed it but don’t think will buy.
Space Battle Lunchtime Vo. 1: Lights, Camera, Snacktion by Natalie Riess
Space Battle Lunchtime Vol. 2: A Recipe for Disaster by Natalie Riess
This was a cute, fun series. I managed to get Vol. 1 and 2 so I was able to read them quickly. I love that it was a cooking show set in space. The only downside that at times it felt too fast paced.
Rating: 3.5/5 (each)
Meet Cute: Some People Are Destined to Meet by an Assortment of Authors
I didn’t finish this book. I read the stories that caught my interest but sadly wasn’t in the mood to read the rest of the stories. If I’m in the mood for the book again I might re-borrow but still a nice read.
Rating: 3/5 (despite not finishing)
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
I’ve always wanted to read a Helen Hoang book as I see people always talking about them. I hope to get around to it soon. I’m currently reading The Kiss Quotient so it will be good to get a feel of Helen Hoang’s writing.
Fight or Flight by Samantha Young
After reading Outmatched by Samantha Young and Kristen Callihan, which I enjoyed, I thought I’d try out some of the authors individual books as well. This seems like a fun one to start with.
My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows
I’m so happy to finally start this series! I’m just about halfway through this book and loving it! I’m smiling, laughing and enjoying the historical setting. It’s got everything I love and I just know this will become a favourite series if all the books continue like this.
Have you been to your library recently?
Until next time…
