Hello everyone! How are you?
The Reading Rush is upon us and I’ve always watched Booktubers take part in it and it looks so fun! This year I seem to be wanting to do all the readathons I come across and thought this year I want to participate too 🙂
It only goes from the 20th – 26th July so I know that in a space of a week I could finish maybe one or two so this will be a challenge. I probably will double up on a couple of challenges to help me out.
If you wanna know more, then you can head over here:
Read a book with a cover that matches the colour of your birth stone
My birthday is in December so my birthstone is blue (a turquoise/tanzanite/zircon). Even though it isn’t a light blue I’m going to read Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend. It’s also a bit of a cheat but I’m already currently reading it so I wanted to find a prompt to continue it because I’m really enjoying it and don’t want to put it aside.
Read a book that starts with ‘The’
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. A contemporary romance to mix it up a bit.
Book that inspired a movie
Another one that’s up in the air for choices but I might go with A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
First book you touch
I will be using Nevermoor for this prompt too.
Read a book completely outside
A graphic novel will be my choice. I have a couple in mind but haven’t settled on one yet. My options are:
- Kiki’s Delivery Service vol. 1
- Check, Please #2
- The Tea Dragon Tapestry (Tea Dragon #3) – eARC thanks to NetGalley
Genre you rarely read
Thriller is definitely a genre I don’t read often. I have a couple of Riley Sager books from the library and just added If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio to my shelves today.
Book in a different continent
Living in Australia it’s easy to find a book set in a different continent. The Hating Game will do nicely for this prompt as well.
Yeah as always, for all readathons I try out, I’m just going to take it easy. Honestly, I’d be shocked if I can complete all of these but I’ll give it a go.
Are any of you taking part in the Reading Rush?
Until next time…
