This week’s topic is what books do you want to try and tick off your 2022 TBR?
Gods & Monsters by Shelby Mahurin
This is the last book in the Serpent and Dove trilogy and it would be good to close out another series. I’ve been enjoying this series and all the characters and interested to see how it will end. I just know there’s going to be a bit of tension.
Death Note (Black Edition) Vol. 3-6 by Tsugumi Ohba
I really enjoyed these mangas and would love to continue them. It would be another series completed and can easily get sucked into this story.
Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater
Once again another series I want to continue but this book is right in the middle that I’m struggling to get passed it. I’m sure once I start I’ll like it but it’s just picking it up that I’m struggling with for some reason.
Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
This has been on my TBR for YEARS! It’s a twist on the story The Wizard of Oz where this retelling is how Dorothy is the evil villain and her rule over Oz needs to be taken down. The good witches are bad and the Wicked Witches are the ones to be trusted? The world of Oz is backwards and I’m keen to figure out why.
The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell
This is a series I want to start and has been sitting on my shelves for a good year or so. One I’ve been meaning to pick up because I feel like I’ll really enjoy it but just haven’t. It has magic, time travel, slow burn romance and a historical setting.
My main aim this year, as it normally is every years, is to finish series on my shelves. What books do you hope to read this year?

I also need to read Gods and Monsters… but before that I need to finish Blood and Honey. I find I am … uh, lacking motivation and trying hard not to DNF. Which is sad because I LOVED Serpent and Dove so much!!

Yeah I find it took me longer to read Blood and Honey as well compared to Serpent and Dove. The audiobook definitely helped me pick up speed. I hope the story picks up for you!

I’m 100% with you on Dorothy Must Day. I added that to my tbr forever ago. I swear I’ll read it eventually 😅
